The Commander-in-Chief: The Lord of Host
"For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth,The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name." (Amos 4:13)
Being in the army means that there is one whom we all must obey and reverence as commander. That one is the Lord our God.
We can know of God but to walk in unity and accurately with him we have to intimately know him. One of the ways that we become intimate or come into fellowship with him is through the word of God.
In God's word there are many names for God that are given and each one of them point to a unique attribute of him. As we learn these names and they become experiential truths to use we grow in our fellowship with him. We won't just know that God is a provider but we will experiential look to God to be the truth of provision always in our lives.
So in this lesson we will discover the Trinity of God, the Function of God as expressed through the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
